Fourwords

Four words were nice enough to give me this slice of wallspace. Again, I look at this wall and see only the faults, the blocks not quite angled enough, the fades too poorly executed. It's times like this it's best not to be the judge of your own stuff. Happily found room to include the colour codes - one day my name will mean something.

Falling Down

Even though I think I'm more like the dunce of canvas, there's no harm in having a crack. This piece was accepted to the King of Canvas exhibition after a short inquiry about the lyrics. Not my fault of course, Vents wrote em, I just transcribed the things.

A picture of something.

I think it's important, from time to time, to do something completely outside one's comfort zone. If for no other reason to answer the little voice in the back of our minds that asks "do you think you could still..?" It'd been a long, long time since I did any kind of figurative work.

Another Blast of wind n salt...

Yes indeed, I got me another slot on the Bondi Promenade wall. Again a great experience, with almost every punter that stopped giving me good props for what I was doing. Everyone except a couple of gals who were shocked to see the existing image be painted over. My heart went to them when they explained it's significance, and I seriously considered pulling up stumps. Hence the apology towards the left. I do feel a pinge of guilt, but the fact is if it wasnt me it wouldve been someone else.

Tarns made me think about stuff.

Greetings reader. Recently I was pointed at the blog of this man, Tarns, who had some points to make about the graffiti vs street art debate. This made me think about the values I use to judge what I'm doing. Who's respect am I really chasing anyway? Do I have to make a firm decision on wether this is graffiti or not? Questions, questions, questions.

Curves. What's with that?

A blast of salty air...

Bondi Beach Promenade, Sydney Australia.
Yes, the world fameous Bondi beach has a long wall along the promenade where artists can leave their mark on the landscape. I was lucky enough to get approval to leave this behind, an all-ironlak large-scale blockie.
